The Bastard's rain cover ensures that your Kamado is protected from the elements. However, due to the sealing effect of the rain cover combined with possible condensation caused by rising moisture, there is a chance of mold growth in or on the Kamado. This possible condensation can cause marks, stains and/or mildew on the bamboo parts of your The Bastard. Therefore, we recommend that you remove any side tables from your kamado before covering the kamado with the rain cover (for an extended period of time). Make sure the Kamado is completely dry before putting the rain cover over it. The side tables are best stored in a dry place. We also recommend that you air the Kamado from time to time by removing the cover for a while when the weather is nice. This will keep your The Bastard looking its best for as long as possible!
